Logging Time

Odoo 19 Enterprise · Timesheets

Employees log time daily or weekly against projects and tasks.

Log time in week view

Timesheets My Timesheets

The week view shows a grid with projects/tasks as rows and days of the week as columns. Click any cell to enter hours for that project on that day. Tab between cells to fill the week quickly. This is the fastest method for employees who work on the same projects daily.

Add new rows Click Add a line at the bottom of the week view to add a new project/task row. The project and task dropdowns filter to only show projects you are a member of. Type the project name to search quickly.

Use the timer

Timesheets My Timesheets Start Timer

Click Start Timer to begin tracking time in real time. Select the project and task, then work. Click Stop when finished — the elapsed time is recorded automatically as a timesheet entry. The timer continues running even if you navigate away from the timesheet page.

Mobile timer The Odoo mobile app supports the timer natively. Start the timer when beginning a task and stop it when done — without opening a laptop. This is the most accurate time tracking method for field or meeting-heavy roles.
