Timesheets Overview
The Timesheets module tracks time spent by employees on projects and tasks. It connects with Project for task-based logging, Sales for billing, and Payroll for overtime calculations.
What the Timesheets module does
Timesheets lets employees log their working hours against specific projects and tasks. The data is used for: project progress tracking, customer billing (billable hours on invoices), cost analysis (cost of time per project), and payroll (overtime hours). Timesheets can be entered daily, weekly, or via a real-time timer.
Access and views
Employees see My Timesheets for their own entries and All Timesheets for the full team view (managers only). The Week view shows the current week as a grid of hours per day per project — the most efficient entry method. The List view shows individual entries. The calendar icon toggles between periods.
