Inventory Adjustments
Inventory adjustments correct stock levels when physical counts differ from what Odoo shows.

Physical Inventory shows all products with their theoretical on-hand quantity (what Odoo shows) and a Counted Quantity column for you to fill in. Enter the actual counted quantity for each product. Products with differences are highlighted. Click Apply All to post the adjustment entries.

Inventory Adjustments
For ad-hoc adjustments to individual products, use Inventory Adjustments. Select the product, location, lot (if applicable), and enter the new on-hand quantity. The difference is posted as a stock adjustment entry to the inventory loss/gain account in accounting.
Scheduled counts
Schedule regular cycle counts rather than a full annual physical. Use inventory count plans in Inventory → Configuration → Inventory Count Plans to set different count frequencies per product category — fast-moving items monthly, slow-moving items quarterly.
