Discuss Overview
Discuss is Odoo's built-in messaging platform — direct messages, group channels, and the chatter on every record. It replaces or supplements external tools like Slack or WhatsApp for internal communication.

What Discuss does
Discuss
Discuss has three layers: the Chatter (on every Odoo record — opportunity, invoice, task), which logs all messages and activities related to that record; Channels (group conversations by topic or team — similar to Slack channels); and Direct Messages (private one-to-one or small group conversations). All messages are searchable and linked to the relevant business context.
