Activities

Odoo 19 Enterprise · CRM

Activities are scheduled actions — calls, emails, meetings, to-dos — attached to opportunities. They ensure every deal has a clear next step and nothing falls through the cracks.

Schedule an activity

CRM Sales My Pipeline (open opportunity) Schedule Activity

Click the clock icon on any opportunity card, or the Schedule Activity button inside the opportunity, to create a new activity. Choose the type, set the due date, assign it to a user, and add a note.

Activity fields
Activity Type * Email, Call, Meeting, To-Do, or custom types configured by your admin.
Summary Short description of what needs to be done.
Due Date * When this activity must be completed.
Assigned To * Which user is responsible for this activity.
Note Detailed instructions or context for the activity.

Activity view

CRM Sales My Pipeline (activity view icon)

Switch to Activity view to see all opportunities as rows with their scheduled activities displayed as coloured dots per type. This is the best view for daily planning — you can see at a glance which opportunities need attention today and what type of action is required.

Mark activity as done

Click the activity dot on an opportunity card and select Mark as Done. Odoo logs the completion and prompts you to schedule the next activity immediately. This creates a continuous chain of follow-ups — every closed activity should lead to the next step.

Never leave an opportunity without a next activity A pipeline opportunity with no scheduled activity is a deal being neglected. Make it a team rule: every opportunity must always have a next activity scheduled. Filter for "No Activity" in the pipeline to find neglected deals.
