Quality Overview
The Quality module defines quality control checks, triggers them at key points in production and inventory operations, and manages non-conformances.
What Quality does
Quality lets you define inspection points at any step in your operations — receiving goods, during production, before shipping. At each point, a quality check is created and must be passed before the operation can continue. Failed checks generate non-conformance records (called Quality Alerts) for investigation and corrective action.
Key concepts
Quality Control Point: a rule that triggers a check at a specific operation (receipt, delivery, work order). Quality Check: the actual inspection to be performed — pass/fail, measurement, photo, or text. Quality Alert: a non-conformance record raised when a check fails or an issue is found. All three link to products, operations, and work centres.
