CRM configuration covers stages, lost reasons, sales teams, and settings that control how your pipeline works.

Configure pipeline stages

CRM Configuration Stages

Stages define the steps in your sales process. Each stage has a name, sequence, default probability, and can be assigned to specific sales teams. Mark the final positive stage as Won. Stages can be folded in the Kanban view to reduce clutter for completed or inactive stages.

Stage fields
Stage Name * Name shown in the pipeline — e.g. "New", "Qualified", "Proposal Sent", "Negotiation".
Sequence * Order in the pipeline from left to right.
Probability Default win probability when an opportunity enters this stage (0-100%).
Sales Team Limit this stage to a specific sales team. Leave blank for all teams.
Folded in Pipeline Collapse this stage in Kanban view by default.
Is Won Stage Mark this as the Won stage — moving here triggers the Won action.

Configure lost reasons

CRM Configuration Lost Reasons

Lost reasons appear when marking an opportunity as lost. Having a standardised list ensures consistent data for analysis. Create reasons that reflect your actual loss patterns — e.g. "Price too high", "Chose competitor", "Project cancelled", "No budget", "No response".

Sales teams

CRM Configuration Sales Teams

Sales teams group salespeople for pipeline management and reporting. Each team has a name, team leader, members, email alias (for lead generation), and target. Create teams that reflect your company structure — e.g. by region, product line, or customer segment.

Email alias Each sales team can have an email alias — e.g. sales@yourcompany.com. Emails sent to that address automatically create leads or opportunities assigned to that team.

Key settings to review: Leads (enable/disable the leads pipeline), Pipeline Stages (per company or per sales team), Lead Mining (purchase leads from Odoo), Enrich Leads (auto-enrich with company data), Customer Ratings (satisfaction surveys after winning), Multi-company rules.

Lead enrichment Lead Enrichment automatically fills in company information (industry, size, website) when a company name or email is entered. This is an Odoo IAP (In-App Purchase) feature — it uses credits from your Odoo subscription.
